In June, after the hike in Paistunturi, Hilla's paws were so tender that we changed the planned trip to Finnmark to a kayaking trip to Tankajoki. Not a worse choice! We set off from the boat launch along the E75 road and landed in Purnumukka the next day. Tankajoki is a slow-flowing, winding river, which is bordered by a wilderness environment. The current carries you downwards, but you can't get through the trip without paddling, it's very shallow in places and you have to wade through shallows and fallen trees looking for a route. We spent the night in the middle of the trip on the edge of the reindeer fence. The weather was favorable and the trip was relaxing in every way. Kilometers are considerably more than the distance between places, because the river is very winding in places. music: no copyright music, You Tube audio libary: Dream_Lagoon Chris Haugen
