When the first cut of grass in the meadows is due, farmers and contractors in the north are under a lot of tension. Within a short space of time, they have to mow huge areas, swath the grass, chop it and bring it in. This is used to make grass silage, feed for the farmers' cattle. And the first cut with all the fresh grass is particularly important. The quality has to be 100 percent right. The men from a contractor company in Bockhorn-Grabstede in the Friesland district know this too. But a lot can go wrong when they are harvesting for farmers: from sudden changes in the weather to damage to the mower, for example, caused by hidden stones in the field. And the sensors on the machines sometimes just go crazy. Then the whole, tightly scheduled schedule can get thrown off. ___________________________________________ The North Reportage https://www.ndr.de/dienordreportage Farm Stories https://www.ndr.de/hofgeschichten The North Story https://www.ndr.de/dienordstory ___________________________________________________ Our guidelines for comments: https://www.ndr.de/service/technische... #ndr #ndraufmland #dienordreportage
