The Bregenzerach meanders through the lonely forest gorge of Vorarlberg towards Lake Constance in a magnificent landscape. Ideal for stand-up paddling and kayaking, it is almost always a brisk paddle, with a light to medium current, depending on the water level, up to whitewater 2, promising lots of fun on the water... But this tour report is only part of the whole report on the topic of "I'll have a big mouth and just paddle a bit of whitewater" - that was my approach when I set off towards Austria at the beginning of May.
