Street art in London is widespread everywhere, especially in the suburbs. Brixton is a neighborhood with a life of its own, detached from the chaotic center. A decidedly non-touristy, multi-ethnic neighborhood, where street art has developed over the years and where some gems dating back to the 80s are hidden. Banksy also passed through Brixton, twice, but his walls are now lost. Brixton is also a neighborhood linked to music: some iconic concerts have been held here, such as the Sex Pistols in 2007; there is a wall dedicated to David Bowie that became iconic after the singer's death; but above all, just walk through the liveliest part of the neighborhood, near the station, to come across people singing and playing.
