It is known that Qomar had undergone treatment in hospital due to colon cancer. When confirmed, Qomar's wife, Siti Maryam confirmed the sad news. Siti said that her husband breathed his last at 17:21 WIB. Even so, Siti has not said much about Qomar's passing and asked for prayers. For information, Qomar was undergoing treatment at the Tangerang Regional Hospital before passing away. Qomar's friend, Jarwo Kwat when met on Tuesday (7/1) in East Jakarta said that he had visited the comedian. Jarwo felt sad to see his colleague's condition lying weak in the hospital. He remembered Qomar as a cheerful person despite being sick. When asked about Qomar's condition when he visited, Jarwo explained that his friend was conscious but had to be assisted by a tube to eat. For your information, Qomar was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2021. Although he had been clean for three years, cancer reappeared in Qomar's body in the past six months. The name Nurul Qomar himself is no stranger to the Indonesian entertainment scene. The man who was born on March 11, 1960, used to be a member of a comedy group called TomTam Group and Empat Sekawan. Qomar then entered the world of acting by making his acting debut in the film CHIPS in Kejutan in 1983. He then starred in a number of films in the following years, most recently in 2020 in the film Benyamin Biang Kerok. Not only films, Qomar also got roles in a number of FTVs and soap operas. Qomar then spread his wings in the world of politics, he was elected as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Democratic Faction in 2004-2009 and 2009-2014. He had participated in the Cirebon Pilkada contest in 2013 and 2018 as a candidate for regent and vice regent, but was not elected. Not only in politics, Qomar is also known to have served as Chancellor of Muhadi Setiabudi University, Brebes in 2017.
