How do you safely stop all traffic on the highway so that short-term work can be carried out? In other words: how does a traffic stop work? In this episode, you will see how road inspector Joshua temporarily stops traffic on the A9 highway so that a gantry can be hung further on. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees and an aggressive co-driver approaches Joshua. Before we go to the traffic stop, we first see how road inspector Joshua is sent out with priority to a vehicle that has broken down on the exit of the highway. The driver is stranded in a dangerous place and the traffic is at a standstill. That is why it is important to ensure that the driver and his vehicle can be brought to a safe place as quickly as possible. After the breakdown, road inspector Joshua takes us along on a special night shift. Three traffic stops are planned during this shift. A traffic stop is a measure that road inspectors use to stop traffic around work or an incident for a short time. Think of work that we have to carry out quickly, such as placing road signs. In this specific case, it concerns work to hang a gantry above the A9 motorway. During the traffic stop, road inspector Joshua and his colleague road inspector Nick ensure that traffic is safely diverted to one lane, and then brought to a standstill for a few minutes. In this way, the road workers further on can do their work safely.
