In this show, Eric Perrin invites you to share some beautiful stories that take root in the Corrèze countryside. Located 20 minutes from Brive, the Aubazine Abbey looks like a stone colossus in the middle of nowhere. Founded in 1125 by Saint Etienne, a hermit, in a completely uninhabited dense forest, the abbey developed spectacularly thanks to the Cistercian brothers. But the monks had to be imaginative and make superhuman efforts to build a canal from scratch to supply the abbey with water. Aubazine is definitely a surprising site since this monastery left its mark on a 20th century fashion figure, the legendary Coco Chanel. Corrèze has been a land of agriculture and livestock farming for centuries and some perpetuate this history with humor and inventiveness. 50 kilometers southeast of Brive, at the Saint-Géraud farm, Eric has a meeting with Jacques Moulène, a farmer who is behind a "damn" original initiative... Every summer since 2008, he has exhibited painted resin cows in his fields, a successful cohabitation with Limousin cows! Art is also in the meadow! In Brive-la-Gaillarde, you will discover a craft skill: the production of liqueurs. The profession of liqueur maker is a passion that has been passed down in Sylvie Denoix's family for 5 generations! Labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, this distillery is one of the oldest in France still in operation. To end this program, Eric meets the novelist Christian Signol. This local boy, marked by the landscapes of his childhood, has become a successful author who tells the stories of the lives of country people, stories that are rarely given pride of place.
