Erosion can be a process caused by natural or anthropogenic factors. In either case, there is a significant loss of fertile soil layers, which can harm the balance of ecosystems, whether natural or managed by humans. If it occurs naturally, we usually call it geological erosion. There are several types of erosion that can be caused by two agents: wind and rain. In Brazil, with the exception of the most arid regions, water erosion predominates. Therefore, we will place more emphasis on its occurrence in this class.
