Sihăstria Monastery, porch of Heaven, as called by His Holiness Father Teofan, Metropolitan of Moldova, is a place full of life and holiness. This is how the hierarch describes this monastic settlement. We know that the Savior Jesus Christ used to retire to deserted places to pray. But always the multitudes sought Him. People thus left the environment of a routine life, shadowed by sin, looking for healing and edifying words in the quiet of places far from the turmoil of the world.
