Here is what the author says about this song: "A couple of years ago, listening to some English-language folk-rock channel on the Internet radio, I heard the song Mariner's Revenge Song by The Decembrists. The song story began with a conversation between two sailors inside a whale that swallowed them. The conversation gained intensity with every word, as one sailor reminded the other of the past. The story turned into an eerie adventure plot in the spirit of Robert Louis Stevenson. It turned out that they did not meet by chance under such mysterious circumstances. The ending of the story is a deadly fight. The music put the impossible, tearing to shreds, ellipsis... It had the delight of schadenfreude, the triumph of accomplished revenge and the victory of evil over evil. In general, it was a task that needed to be done. I wrote a retelling of this story, but I could not find the right music. And the text was waiting for the music. Six months ago, I met the guys from the Balkan music orchestra Exilados, we got together several times and tried to combine the Balkan brass groove with a hip-hop beat and reading. Everyone liked the result, but there was a feeling that something was missing. We began to involve different beatmakers in the work, but the material still did not hit the mark. Until Valera Tekel (SoundBro) joined the work. The work began to spin. A killer brass band plus the author of the music for Kasta's main hits! I recorded the voice and realized that we had solved this problem. I sent the track, not yet mixed, to Lora Zombie, a cool artist from St. Petersburg, and she drew a creepy and beautiful cover.
