[What is Otamoi Amusement Park? 】 Otamoi Amusement Park, which opened in 1934, was a huge resort facility visited by several thousand people a day, featuring Ryugukaku (a high-class restaurant) built on a cliff, as well as an entertainment hall, a popular restaurant, and a playground. However, it was forced to close due to wars and disasters, and although it was reopened after the war, it was closed when Ryugukaku was destroyed by fire in 1952. Since then, due to its beautiful scenery, a promenade was built in 1974 and it has been loved by Hokkaido residents as a scenic spot, but since a large landslide occurred on the promenade in 2006, it has been closed to the public to this day.
