Shaukam Pass, on the northern slope of Elbrus. Height 2930 m. The road from Tyrnyauz to Dzhily-Su passes through the pass. The road is difficult to pass, only four-wheel drive vehicles can drive along it. The road from Tyrnyauz goes up the mountain along a serpentine, passing by the adits of the Tyrnyauz Mining and Processing Plant goes to the Dzwargen Pass (2700 m), and then descends into the valley of the Tashorun River. From the Shaukam Pass, the road descends into the valley of the Shaukol River. The road is very narrow in places with rock slides. Passing two cars is difficult.
