By Duster to the foot of Elbrus and Emmanuel glade via Mount Sirkh Surely everyone has heard of Elbrus, a stratovolcano in the Caucasus, the highest point in Europe and Russia, included in the list of the highest peaks of the world "Seven Summits". Its height is 5642 meters above sea level and its recognizable silhouette is visible for hundreds of kilometers. It rises above all other mountains of the Greater Caucasus Range and, unlike most other mountains, its slopes are always covered with snow both in winter and summer. Surely many have also heard about the healing springs of Dzhily-Su, located at its foot just 14 kilometers to the north, although being there, due to the gigantic size of the mountain, it seems that Elbrus is practically nearby. The springs are located on the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria at an altitude of 2380 meters above sea level and an excellent asphalt road leads to them, along which almost any car can drive. I have been here many times, the first time long before the asphalt was laid, still on a mix of gravel and dirt, and even earlier, from the Kislovodsk side, you could only get there by SUV. There are many narzan springs with different healing properties on the territory of the Dzhily-Su tract. And if you go higher up the mountain and cross the Kyzyl-Kol River along the Kalinov Bridge, passing over the waterfall, you can get to the Emmanuel glade, to the EMERCOM base and the Silver Spring. You can also get there by car through Mount Sirkh, but this is an off-road route, there is nothing to do there without a four-wheel drive. We will go there along this road, and for me and my Dyson it will be the first time, I have never driven there by car, so I will get a new experience. Many friends and acquaintances who drove through Sirkh to the Emmanuel glade claimed that the road for a duster would be very difficult and it may not be possible for it to go back up the mountain on its own.
