FYI: This film is about various forms of sexual violence and their consequences, such as addiction, dissociation and suicide attempts. For many people, intimate physical contact is something very beautiful - being close to your partner, discovering yourself and others, trying new things. People who have experienced sexual violence often do not feel this way. They often struggle with problems for years afterwards. Trauma, compulsions and dissociation arise - and the topic of togetherness is not something exciting for many, but is primarily associated with incredible fear. Many of those affected do not dare to communicate their own boundaries and say "No!" In this film, Frank speaks to Steffi - she had to experience such a trauma in childhood and developed a masturbation addiction as a result. Frank wants to know from Steffi and other survivors: What happens to us when we become victims of abuse? In order to put this sensitive topic into context, Frank also speaks to the scientist Dr. med. Melanie Büttner. (Instagram: @melaniebuettner1 ) Have you also experienced trauma or are you in a toxic relationship? Here you can find information, advice and help. You are not alone!! Why do we let animals suffer? Do we drink too much? Or: What does porn do to us? My team and I are interested in questions that have something directly to do with our lives, but also topics that are important to all of us and are often only discussed superficially. We look for answers to these questions, week after week - openly, honestly and independently. We don't meet any experts, we are there: at the slaughterhouse, at the swingers party, while proselytizing in the pedestrian zone. And because we want to get to know as many perspectives as possible in our search, we always spend several weeks on a question. In the end, we want to give an answer, even if it isn't easy for us. With each video - but especially in the discussions with you - we get a little closer to answering the big, tricky questions.
