"Don't be afraid, find the right way with people and be happy when it works out" - that's what her job is all about for her. Melanie Blauhorn is 38 years old, has been working as a judicial officer in Nuremberg since 2013 and is responsible for security and order in the court. She is a civil servant for life, salary group A5. Among other things, she carries out entrance checks and patrols the court. The visitors do not always have each other under control, Melanie and her colleagues have to intervene from time to time and bring people out of the sessions. She prepares her colleagues for such moments. Melanie is also an operations trainer. The fact that she used to do Olympic boxing and kickboxing probably helps her. She is also a passionate cyclist and likes to ride down 1000 meters on her indoor bike. We accompany her for a day in court and also visit her at home during training and with her family. She has two children. Because she has to look after her little daughter, she currently only works 25 hours a week. All court visitors were of course asked whether it was OK to be filmed. That is "Is it worth it?": One person, one job, one life. And at the end of the day, the question is: Is it worth it? We accompany people in their jobs and show their lives. Is it worth it to work for a salary and use it to finance your own life? What makes me happy about my work? We don't just compare salaries, we show how people live from their work. We are always looking for protagonists: If you also want to show how you live with your job, you are welcome to write to [email protected]! On a personal note: We are not infallible either - and although we make every effort to present every individual financial situation in a clear, correct and understandable way, we sometimes need help. The Bavarian State Association of Tax Advisors and Auditors always provides us with competent support in this regard - thank you very much for that!
