In the fall of 1955, a man's body was found near the Mechta restaurant in Kyiv - he had been slashed across the neck with a razor. The murder weapon was found next to the body. The murdered man turned out to be Pavel Kuznetsov, who had recently returned from an eight-year prison term for serving as an orderly in a German prison for Soviet prisoners of war during the war. The victim's common-law wife said that Pavel was in high spirits when he went to meet someone. Hot on the trail, the detectives found Yuri Mosin - he was throwing the victim's passport out of his wallet. But Mosin insisted that he was not involved in the murder. But who benefited from Kuznetsov's death? The Veshdok project is a series of crime documentary dramas investigating complex criminal cases from 1945-1985.
