In the depths of Asia Minor where this place was located, a small hearth of Hellenism and Orthodoxy shone thanks to the vicar of the Temple, Hadjiefentis as the Cappadocians called the later Saint Arsenios the Cappadocian.... The enlightened presence of Saint Arsenios was a signpost for the families of the Pharisaites who relied on him, especially during the uprooting and exchange of populations. He was a father and spiritual guide, comforting and counseling them while being their link to the Almighty. Every moment he strengthened and strengthened with his example and his prayer the effort to keep the Pharasiotes committed to the values of faithful family and traditions. His parents Prodromos and Eulogia Eznepidis were an exemplary couple, his father quick-witted and courageous and his mother pious, patient and a woman of prayer. They experienced the uprooting with pain, like all the Asia Minors. A few days before the uprooting, Hadjiefendis, that is, Saint Arsenios, baptized all the unbaptized children of the village so that if something happened during the uprooting, as he said, they would not leave unbaptized. On August 14, 1924, the Farasiotes leave their ancestral land. After many hardships they arrived in Greece and after going to Athens, to Corfu where Saint Arsenios slept, to Igoumenitsa... finally the family of little Arsenios ended up in Konitsa, Epirus. The first part of the documentary shows all the information about the Saint's life from the moment he left Cappadocia with his family until the time when his health was failing, while a second part will follow, which will deal with his sleep .
