Her brother explains that death is a part of life, but the girl still hopes for a miracle. She prays and sees a divine light on the lake, through which a figure appears, and then the bird in her hands comes to life. Her parents are skeptical about the story of a miraculous resurrection, attributing the incident to Sarah's rich imagination. But then the girl revives a dead dog and heals a friend. Soon the miraculous gift becomes known in the area. While reporters are looking for evidence, Sarah hurries to help everyone who wants it, but begins to rapidly lose strength.
