I visited Fukuoka a week ago after making a last-minute hotel reservation. This was my sixth visit to Fukuoka. It felt a bit different since it had been seven years since I visited, but as expected from analog Japan where change is slow, the old charm remained, bringing back vivid memories of my 20s. It was a city visited by so many Koreans that it was hard to believe it was overseas, and I thought Fukuoka would be easy for beginners or solo travelers.
