Facebook ► / bosanskitefericc Umoljani is a populated place in the municipality of Trnovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The settlement is located on the Bjelašnica mountain. The village is located at an altitude of 1353 m. There are two versions of how Umoljani got its name. According to one, herders Humljani from Herzegovina came to graze with their cattle in the summer and some stayed there to live permanently. According to the second, the dragon came out of the Rakitnica canyon, which is 3 km from the village, and passed through Studeni potok, meandering with the intention of devouring the population. When they noticed it, the population retreated to the Pošiljak hill and began to pray and begged the dragon to be petrified. Now you can see the shape of that petrified nemani in that place. At the entrance to Umoljane in Dolovi, about 200 meters from the bridge, there is a necropolis with 47 stećaks. At a distance of about 200 m from the necropolis in the direction of the north, three old niches were recorded, while further, at a distance of about 300, 8 niches were recorded. The niches in this locality can be dated to the period of the second half of the 15th and the first half of the 16th centuries, so they belong to the earliest examples of niches in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In a place called Crkvina, the remains of a medieval sacral building, overgrown with grass, were registered. To the west of Dolovo there is a secluded stećak - a gabled building with a base and decoration. In the direction of the west, at a distance of about 200 m from the isolated stećak, five stećaks in the form of chests, which have completely sunk, were recorded. As a historical area, the mentioned objects, together with the natural environment, have been declared a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the very entrance to the village there is a mosque with a specific minaret adapted to the weather conditions in this area. There are no written records of when the mosque was built, but it is believed that only Turhan Emin-beg's mosque in Ustikolina is older than it. There are also indications that it could have been built on some of the Bogumilica stećaks. The remains of ancient settlements are scattered around the village, with a large number of medieval tombstones located high on the cliffs. The valley of Studen polje is a small place behind the summer pastoral village of Gradina, which is located in the immediate vicinity of Umoljan. Teferič is: having fun, spending time, enjoying nature, a trip to nature for the purpose of entertainment and leisure. Teferič also entered our dear Sevdalinka - "do you feel sorry for Banjaluka, Banja Luka Teferič, near Vrbas akšamluka...". The old big teferič was usually held on August 2 on Aliđun. The famous teferiči, which were held in big cities, but also in villages and hamlets, are known throughout our homeland. On the teferiča, people really "grew", ate, drank and had fun. Oxen, sheep, and goats turned on the spit, and the most beautiful songs were sung, sevdalinka were sung. He has a brother and a teferič under his own direction. The working people, whatever they are doing, take advantage of any national holiday or weekend and settle down next to a beautiful river, stream and feast on kebabs, kebabs and juices. Someone brings the ball, another chess and the third darts. He is having fun, having fun and having fun.
