Actor Ryo Yoshizawa appeared as a surprise guest at the eve of the Blu-ray Disc (BD) and DVD release of the movie "Kingdom" (directed by Shinsuke Sato), starring Kento Yamazaki, held in Tokyo on November 5th. Yoshizawa said, "Even when the camera was on Yang Duanhe (played by Masami Nagasawa), about three people were cutting off off-camera (laughs)," revealing an episode from the shooting of a battle scene at the royal palace, and said, "Sorry, that was so sudden. Everyone was passionate about this movie from the preparation period until the start of filming. We can deliver it to everyone with confidence that we have created something with that much passion. I think there will be many ways to enjoy it if you look at the details on DVD." "Kingdom" is a popular manga by Yasuhisa Hara that has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) since 2006. Set in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period of China, the story depicts the heroic exploits of a young man named Shin who aims to become the greatest general in the world, the King of Qin, Ying Zheng, who would later become known as the First Emperor, and the Prime Minister Lu Buwei, known for the story of "taking advantage of a rare opportunity." A TV anime was also broadcast in 2012. The Blu-ray and DVD will go on sale on November 6th. The Premium Edition (first production limited edition) with a bonus disc containing visual commentary by Yamazaki, Yoshizawa, Hashimoto Kanna, and Director Sato is priced at 7,990 yen (excluding tax), while the regular Blu-ray and DVD sets are priced at 4,743 yen each.
