Imam Ali bin Abi Talib: He is Imam Ali bin Abi Talib bin Abdul Muttalib bin Hashim Abu Al-Hassan Al-Hashemi Al-Qurashi, born in Mecca on Friday the thirteenth of Rajab, thirty years after the Year of the Elephant (13 Rajab 23 BC / March 17, 599 AD - 21 Ramadan 40 AH / January 27, 661 AD). He is the cousin and son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and his family, from his household, and one of his companions. He is the fourth of the Rightly Guided Caliphs. He was known for his strength and prowess in combat, and was an important factor in the victory of the Muslims in various battles, most notably the Battle of the Trench and the Battle of Khaybar.
