We begin this last part of the story with a beautiful sandy beach in Vama Veche. This is an unusual seaside resort the size of the Polish Pobierowo or even smaller. It is famous for its hippie atmosphere. Let me reassure you: the hippie atmosphere does not mean a drug addict on every corner :) it's a bit about the music, but above all about the people, their openness and peaceful approach to life. And then we remembered that we wanted to see mud volcanoes. Camping Muddy is here: https://goo.gl/maps/zjUwJFjzJDRrBUPD6 What's so cool about it? Definitely not the toilets - we warn you. But the location is great. It lies between beautiful hills and is a stone's throw from the mud volcanoes, the largest in Europe. Entry 4 lei, or 4 zlotys... It's worth it ;) We were so interested in sightseeing that we decided to go to the city for the first time. An extraordinary city, because the famous Brasov. Brasov has beautifully preserved old architecture, and at the entrance it looks like Hollywood, because it has such an inscription on the hill. Unfortunately, we were only able to look at the town through the car windows, because it turned out that we had nowhere to park. Dog and I did not want to drag ourselves from the suburbs, and in the center the parking spaces are definitely not adapted to the needs of caravans. So we drove there and back twice and said goodbye to the city view in favor of beautiful hills. First we went to a campsite at the foot of the northern slopes of the Făgăraș Mountains in the city of Făgăraș. It was off-season, but the Laguna Albastra campsite is a real treat, with a swimming pool and a restaurant. Before leaving, we did some laundry using our brilliant folding bowl, which I recommend wholeheartedly. A small, old thing that we've had for about 10 years, but it's fun. And from the Laguna we went straight to the Transfăgăraș Road. One of the most famous attractions in Romania - a verry twisty road leading to an altitude of over two thousand meters in the Făgăraș Mountains. The views are amazing. You can drive in both a camper and a trailer. We suspect that going up in a sports car is faster and more enjoyable :) but everyone can do it, even on an electric scooter, as Siemo did to record me pulling our expedition kit from above. And here we finally begin our series of wild overnight stays. What adventures they were! Common features of all these places: my fear of bears (and the real risk of meeting them!), but above all peace, quiet and an encounter with nature. The campsites are comfortable, but they don't give you that sense of ease and adventure at the same time. It was beautiful there, but since it's a fairly frequently visited place from Park4Night, it was littered. IT'S WORTH CLEANING UP AFTER YOURSELF! But if someone doesn't do it, it's also nice to clean up for others, and we took on this task. Then we went further, this time finding inspiration for an overnight stay on the Biwakowanie na Dziko portal. We reached the Stănișoara Monastery. We were also lucky to come across a hospitable micha, who warned us about bears, and in the morning treated us to fresh milk straight from the cow. Delicious. The third wild overnight place was already our own discovery. We barely got there, but if someone has a 4x4, I definitely recommend trying it. A hill with beautiful views for the exclusive use and the only thing you can meet are grazing cows.
