Photo taken from the 9th car of the Sendai Express U5, E515-5. The speedometer runs out of power in the second tunnel after departing Shin-Aomori. This is the view from the window during the busy season schedule, when trains travel at 210km/h inside the Seikan Tunnel. That morning, trains departing from Tokyo were generally delayed, and the Hayabusa I was on was also delayed by 7 minutes. However, after departing Tokyo (6:25), Omiya (27:23), and Sendai (1:34:20), there were announcements that the train would return to its scheduled time, and it did indeed make it to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto in 3 hours and 47 minutes, arriving right on schedule at 13:30.
