The Dress Code The Royal Wedding 1 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again in parables, saying, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which prepared a marriage for his son, 3 And he sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: but they would not come. 4 Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say unto them that are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the wedding. 5 But they paid no heed, and went their way, one to his farm, and another to his business. 6 And the rest seized his servants, and treated them shamefully, and slew them. 7 When the king heard thereof, he was wroth, and sent his armies, and slew those murderers, and burned their city. 8 Then he said to his servants, "The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. 9 Go therefore to the crossroads of the highways, and as many as you find invite to the wedding feast. 10 And those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good; and the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who was not on wedding garments. 12 And he said to him, "Friend, how did you get in here, not having on wedding garments?" And he held his peace. 13 Then the king said to the servants, "Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
