The 415 Series electric train (steel car), popular as a white train manufactured during the JNR era, was retired with JR Kyushu's timetable change in September 2010. We followed the last of the 415 Series in action in the Kagoshima area. We closely followed the final regular inspection of the 415 Series electric train at the Kagoshima Rolling Stock Center, and covered the inspection process, which is not usually available to the public. We also rode in the driver's cab of the 415 Series electric train, and saw rare footage of two 415 Series electric trains passing each other.
