(Wedad), a traveling theater singer, takes pity on the sons of (Ahmed), the widower, because there is a little girl among them who reminds her of her deceased daughter. He is absent from home many days a week due to his work, leaving his children unattended. The village leader is (Abu Al-Maati), who deceives everyone with his good appearance. He previously deceived (Wedad) and caused the death of her daughter. Abu Al-Maati wants to restore his relationship with Wedad, so she runs away from him and stays with Ahmed's sons. Ahmed returns after a long absence and learns what she did to his daughter when she fell ill in his absence. He asks his sons to insist that she stay with them. He also becomes very attached to her, and here Wedad finds no way to tell Ahmed the truth about her. Abu Al-Maati learns about their affair and sets an ambush for them.
