Nikita Khrushchev is the unexpected successor to Soviet leader Joseph Stalin from among a group of Stalin's great and powerful men such as Lavrentiy Beria, Molotov, Malenkov, Bulganin and other influential members of the Communist Party, but he became the third leader of the Soviet Union to lead the communist world during the most complex years of the Cold War, which did not end until the collapse of the Soviet Union. Nikita Khrushchev made his way up the ranks of the Russian Communist Party since he was a miner in Ukraine until he reached the highest position in the Kremlin and through a long journey in which he held the position of general in the Red Army during World War I, especially during the Battle of Stalingrad and during the largest battles of the war, which is Kursk, where he worked as a political commissar in the Soviet Army. Khrushchev led the Soviet Union during the Cuban missile crisis and during the space race and the nuclear arms race between the two superpowers and during the Berlin crisis.
