The Dunajec rafting is one of the most beautiful river gorges in Europe, flowing through a narrow gorge full of sharp bends. The rafting is about 18 km long and makes 7 loops. The water ride takes from 2 to 3 hours, depending on the water level, and the time is made more pleasant by highland raftsmen with stories and jokes. The rafting starts in Sromowce Wyżne (Kąty), where there is a rafting port and a pavilion of the Pieniny National Park, or in Sromowce Niżne, and ends in Szczawnica. The duration of the rafting to Szczawnica is on average 2.30 hours, to Krościenko about 2 hours 45 minutes. The length of the rafting to Szczawnica is 15 km, to Krościenko 3.5 km longer. The rafting is also organized by Slovak raftsmen. It is cheaper, but shorter, because it ends at the mouth of the Leśnicki Stream [3].
