The Catholic Church has a mixed image: abuse scandals, celibacy and for many it is no longer up to date. This is one of the reasons why young men hardly decide to become priests anymore. This brings problems: parishes are being merged, churches that are too poorly attended are being closed. Florian is 25 and still wants to become a priest. Even as a young boy he was an enthusiastic altar boy and did his school internship with an undertaker. Now he is training to be a priest in seven years at the seminary in Münster. Learning to preach, analyzing the Old Testament, preparing a church service. A lot to do for the 25-year-old. In the meantime he is still studying Catholic theology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster. A normal student life? Not for Florian. Between university and prayer there is little time left for spontaneous appointments. And all of this for the dream of becoming a priest: why does he accept the many restrictions? What drives him?
