Three sisters travel to their mother, who lives in a house in Italy, neglected and bitter. She refuses contact with the outside world, especially with her daughters. The three very different women set off anyway to save their mother. They get off track on their journey and get stuck in a swamp. Trapped in the moor, they experience their own helplessness (and anger about it), while at the same time having to admit their mother's years of rejection. They search for an answer. In an absurdly comedic showdown, the sisters will accept that their mother does not submit to their ideas, never has, and that they cannot find an answer. ********************************* More radio plays from Deutschlandfunk Kultur: https://www.deutschlandfunkkultur.de/...
