That was when I first tried to breed them. But at that time I had to devote more time to them: mowing the grass, constantly feeding and watering them. And three years ago I bought a couple again - a female and a male. And I realized that now care has become much simpler: there is compound feed, autonomous cages in which a rabbit can live for a week without the owner's participation. And when the first rabbits appeared, I decided that I would take the garage and start breeding them. And off we go: I fell in love with these cute animals again. You know what they say: if you kept rabbits once, you will definitely return to them. And so it happened. I am completely absorbed in rabbit breeding. Petros' garage is divided into two halves. On one half there are cages with "teenagers" for fattening, females for growing and breeding males. Petros opened the cage, and two cute rabbit faces with ears spread out immediately looked out. Because, starting from the age of three months, the boys become sexually mature and begin to sort things out, fight and can hurt each other. The breeding stock is on the other side of the garage. Here sit the females waiting for offspring and the mothers with the rabbits. All the cages are equipped with trays, where the waste products of the rabbits and everything that has fallen from the feeders end up. But there is very little food waste - I made absolutely all the cages, mother cells, bunker feeders and drinkers myself. I made everything according to my own drawings so that I would do it once and for all, without alterations or modifications. I bought the mesh for the cages in 50 m coils, since it was cheaper. For the "front" part of the cage, I buy a mesh with a cell size of 25 * 25 mm. A slightly different mesh with a cell size of 12.5 * 50 mm is used for the floors. Cages for pregnant and lambing does are larger. The size of the cage for mothers is as follows: 1 m long, 60 cm wide and the height of the cage is 40 cm. - The dimensions of fattening cages are slightly different. They do not need such large mansions as for mother rabbits. The dimensions here are as follows: width 1 m (divided in half into two "rooms"), depth 60 cm, height 30 cm. That is, for one rabbit the following dimensions are: 60 * 50 * 30 cm.
