Until seven years ago, Knin was the city with the largest number of young people in Croatia. According to the census from 2011, 40 percent of the inhabitants of Knin were under 30 years old. Today, there is less and less youth in Knin. In the last five years, every fourth resident of Knin has left this city. In search of work and a better life, young people go to Germany, Ireland and Canada. Knin is mostly left by Croats who moved to this city from Bosnia and Herzegovina after the war. Of those who stayed in Knin, every fourth resident is a beneficiary of social assistance. The mayor of Knin, Marko Jelić, invited the Serbs to return to this city and to their ancestral home: What Knin offers to Serbs who wish to return to it, and what awaits those who have already returned to it, you will find out in the new edition of the Square of the Circle.
