In my video about the new timetable I didn't get around to it, the new bus concession for Friesland, Qbuzz has taken over from Arriva after 12 years and will be driving the first few years until the charging facilities can be applied to the power grid with brand new Euro6 buses from IVECO, both in 10.8 and 13 meters for the region and 13 meters high floor for the Qliner! I was also curious about how such a concession transfer works on a Wadden island that can only be reached by boat, so we set course for Ameland, where electric buses still run in Arriva colors, we also did both boats that sail to and from Ameland, the Oerd, a real ferry with catering on board and the Fostaborg, a lightning-fast boat that can accommodate 48 passengers!
