Prof. Dr. Andreas Züttel was born in Switzerland and teaches at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (LMER). There he is director of the Laboratory for Materials for Renewable Energy (LMER). Among other things, he analyses techniques for electrolytic hydrogen production. Detailed information: https://www.epfl.ch/labs/lmer/zuttel/ His book "Hydrogen as a Future Energy Carrier" was published by Wiley and can be found here as a PDF https://www.researchgate.net/publicat... 0:00 Intro 1:06 Introduction 1:58 Research area hydrogen 3:00 Energy in Switzerland 5:13 Electrification of railways 9:00 Hydroelectric power plants 10:30 Energy storage hydrogen 18:20 Efficiency 22:00 Membrane 29:50 Costs of electrolyzers 31:31 Storing hydrogen 32:35 Hydrogen car 36:45 Fuel cell 41:36 Cavern storage 45:55 Energy consumption for storage 49:40 Solar cells in the mountains 56:00 Hydrogen price 1:03:00 Electricity import, export 1:05:50 Nuclear energy development 1:11:34 CO₂-neutral Switzerland 1:14:38 Producing bio-oil abroad My videos show the different views on the broad field of energy production, supply and consumption. To ensure that the information is of high quality, I speak to real experts who are familiar with the topic through scientific achievements and many years of experience. As I myself have a doctorate in physics, work as a professor at a university and have been working on energy issues for over 20 years, I feel confident in asking intelligent questions. I hope that my viewers will get real education on the topic of energy and not just headlines that are of no help with such a complex topic.
