Spring 2024 turned out to be early. The snow melted quickly, the ground thawed and dried. Night temperatures were -6 to -2, during the day +6 to +8. And I decided that I needed to urgently plant the roots stored on the balcony before it got snowed in again😄 The roots were perfectly preserved. They were stored as they arrived: a plastic bag with a mixture of substrate and sawdust in a cardboard box on the floor of the balcony. Of course, I periodically checked if everything was okay in the bags ☺️ The temperature on the balcony was +2 to +5 all winter. Once it was -2, the roots were even covered with frost. But this is not scary for them at all. The peonies were stored perfectly. Closer to March, the buds began to increase. A couple of roots even had to be put in the bottom drawer of the refrigerator from 0 degrees. I divided all the roots exactly before planting, powdered the cuts with ash.
