Malkandi is known as the oldest neighborhood in Sulaimani. It is believed that the foundation stone of the city was laid in this neighborhood. Now only Malkandi neighborhood, some of the soap makers and Kani Askan have the smell of the old city. For me, Malkandi neighborhood has its own characteristics. When I was a child, I may have sold hundreds of strawberry carts in this neighborhood and around Pirmassur. One of the oldest houses that still occupies the land in Malkandi and near Haji Khan Mosque is the house of Karim Zanda, a traveler, teacher, writer, translator and geographer I don't think anyone hated Karim Zand except the ISIS beliefs. But who didn't they hate? I visited Mamoste Zand several times in his house. Unfortunately, it was too late to record only one episode of Panjamori with him. He left behind a home full of books, manuscripts and wonderful photographs. His home is a museum in itself. Most beautifully, Master Amakhani has left behind a wife who, as he says, few infants of Malkandi have not once breastfed, a ladylike, conscious, talkative and hospitable woman. After the teacher passed away, I visited him and asked how he was doing. Last year I asked him to participate in the fingerprint program, and he gladly accepted. When I asked him, which of the great Kurdish writers visited Karim Zandi and were friends with him? He replied, “Who has not been friends with Mamoste? What writer has not come to this house and talked about Kurdishness with Karim Zand loudly and sometimes with chips? let me tell you Then who hasn't been our friend? When Amakhan talks about Hemn Mukriani, her face brightens. She talks about the night she was a guest in their house and fell asleep with her cigarette. “Hemn wrote a beautiful poem for me. He had recorded it for me on a tape, but unfortunately the tape was lost in the conference. It was more precious to me than my whole house. Mamoste's house was once the headquarters of the revolutionaries of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran. Although Amakhan complains that none of those who wrote his memoirs mentioned his house except Karimi Heysami, he says he is still grateful for the friendship and assistance. Amakhan says that Karim Zand was loyal to General Barzani and his memories until his death. He always hung a picture of General Barzani in his room. Now Amakhan lives alone in a large house full of memories of Kurdish writers, political figures and intellectuals. Certainly, the stories that took place in that house can be made into the most beautiful television drama. When we were doing charity in Amakhan, I was attracted to a picture of Karim Zand on the wall. I asked him: I don't know if I asked you that question in the program or not. Ama Khan said with a smile, “Woe to you when you reach our age. How many times have I told you that this was the memory of Peshawar Qazi Mohammad?
