This time, Subbotniki went on a trip to the Brest region of Belarus. The format of the trip changed a little thanks to a visit to grandma in Baranovichi. There we left Sonya and went to explore abandoned places of Belarus. Coordinates: Reitanov Estate 53.024515, 26.340275 Reitanov Tomb 53.025094, 26.323291 It is still worth sharing what to see in Baranovichi and where to eat. The city is still very young and you will not find ancient temples and estates there. But Baranovichi is famous for its railway museum, there is a pharmacy museum, a fire tower, and fresh street art on Voikova. Where to eat in Baranovichi? The most favorite milk bar in Baranovichi is Osminozha. Well, the most popular street food in Baranovichi is boats. Baranovichi boats are famous far beyond the city. And now about the little-known abandoned places of Belarus. This is a very popular type of tourism: stalkers look for abandoned estates, castles, abandoned tombs, entire abandoned villages - which exist in Belarus. We found two unique attractions in the Brest region near Baranovichi and Lyakhovichi. The first is the Reitan estate in the village of Grushevka. This is an abandoned estate of the 18th century. The most famous representative of the Reitan family is Tadeusz Reitan - a national hero of Poland and Belarus. The Reitans made the estate quite profitable, the manor house was decorated with stucco, the walls were painted with frescoes and paintings. But nothing survived. The Reitan estate is mothballed. There is another place not far from the abandoned estate - this is the Reitan family tomb. It was built on the site where the last representative of the Reitan family died and later the ashes of Tadeusz Reitan were transferred here. In general, the estate in Grushevka is our location number one. Number two is the Kotlubaev estate in the village of Yastrembel, 15 km from Baranovichi. The village of Yastrembel and the surrounding lands were bought by Mykhailo Kotlubai in 1851. But this fabulous unusual estate was built under his son Edward. Edward Kotlubai built a luxurious stone palace on the site of the wooden estate. The construction and decoration of the chambers were completed by 1897. The fate of the old estate is sad - after the revolution, the estate in Yastrembel was plundered. In the 1920s, the building was transferred to an orphanage. Since 1990, the Kotlubaev estate has been empty and has not been properly restored yet. Having walked very dangerously along the beams of the second floor (there are no floors there), we decided that the topic of "abandoned Belarus" is closed for today. The city of Kossovo and the Ruzhany palace and park ensemble were still in the plans. For those who are looking for where to go in Belarus, the sights of Belarus and are planning their trips to Belarus, we, firstly, of course, will remind you that our country is correctly called Belarus, and secondly, we probably will not advise Kossovo and Ruzhany, while they are not very ready to welcome guests. Kossovo certainly has interesting sights. For example, the Trinity Church, where Tadeusz Kosciuszko was baptized. There is also a miraculous icon there, which, they say, is already 350 years old! The Pusslovsky Palace in Kossovo looks beautiful on postcards and videos, it has very attractive and unusual legends - but while inside - there is nothing to see objectively. Opposite the palace of the Pusslovsky family is the house-museum of Tadeusz Kosciuszko. Interestingly, its restoration began in 2008, when during excavations the old foundation of the real Kosciuszko estate was found. You can visit the museum for only 2 rubles, and even walk on the stones that Kosciuszko stepped on - in the basement of the estate. Nearby there is an unsightly, but very tasty and cheap cafe "At Tadeusz". In general, this is all for Kossovo, except for the old cemetery and a very beautiful chapel on it. Watch in our issue of Subbotniks) By sunset, we almost managed to get to Ruzhany. To the famous Sapieha palace. This is one of the largest palace complexes in Belarus, was an important political center of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and belonged to the powerful Sapieha dynasty. The pride of the Ruzhany Palace was the richest library and art gallery, one of the best theaters in Europe. But now, unfortunately, it is mostly ruins. In 1944, the Ruzhany Palace was completely destroyed. In 2008, restoration began - and in the restored part there is already a museum. According to the show, Subbotniki is boring (even for three rubles). So Subbotniki got up and in one day traveled around Baranovichi, the villages of Yastrembel and Grushevka, Lyakhovichi, Ivatsevichi, Kossovo and Ruzhany. The issue turned out to be eventful. We hope you will appreciate it. Be sure to subscribe to the channel and write comments, very soon we will raffle off two mugs brought from this trip (they were not included in the edit). Belarus, support the budding travel blog. We will show you the most interesting places in Belarus and will try to charge you with a good mood and conviction - that you need to travel. Definitely! Until next time, your Subbotniks
