To mark the anniversary of the famous writer's birth, Supraphon has released an extensive audiobook on 2CD-MP3, which contains almost nine hours of both legendary recordings from the seventies to the nineties, as well as completely new recordings from the book Povídky z šuplíku discovered in the estate and published only in 2017 in the comprehensive edition of Ota Pavel's entire work. This resulted in a unique set that will treat listeners to an unprecedented number of excellent recordings capturing the harmony of four generations of actors with the poetic work of Ota Pavel. Among the famous short stories on the first album are: Seven Blankets of Gold, The Death of Beautiful Deer, Carp for the Wehrmacht, How I Met Fish, My First Fish or Golden Eels interpreted by such legends as: Vlastimil Brodský, Rudolf Hrušínský, Jiří Sovák and Miroslav Horníček.
