In today's episode, we warm up the Toyota engine and set off on an adventure to a place that you absolutely cannot pass by indifferently. This is a place that simply has to be explored far and wide. The upland stretching in a narrow strip between Krakow in the south and Częstochowa in the north is a multidimensional geographical macroregion offering countless attractions. But above all, it is a great treat for fans of off-road tourism. During a 4x4 expedition through the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, because that's what we are talking about, it is enough to deviate from the course for a moment to feast your eyes on incredible landscapes. Moving along diverse routes with gravel, sand or muddy surfaces interspersed with asphalt, you will definitely not miss: mountainous landscapes with numerous rocks (there are almost 5,000 of them), amazing castles and strongholds with an interesting historical background, mysterious caves (there are about 1,700 of them), diversified nature. Our destination, the Siedlce Desert, is an area of ​​former sand quarries near the village of Siedlec. The dunes here reach a height of about 30 meters, and on hot days, when the air is very hot, you can see the phenomenon of a mirage. An interesting fact about the origin of this place is the legend of the devil, who, chasing Twardowski, who was escaping on a rooster, opened the gates of hell, and the fire emerging from them scorched the earth and turned it into a desert. Although the Siedlce Desert is not as large as the Błędowska Desert, which is located relatively nearby, it certainly has its charm and you absolutely have to drive through it or at least walk through it. This area is a total gem in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland and is a must-see on the map of off-road trails. The stiffness of the cover is definitely improved by numerous bends on the sides, while additional holes prevent overheating of the drive elements and facilitate mud removal. The weight of the plate is about 7.5 kg.
