Niki Schelle is testing a real world first in Málaga and on the Circuito Ascari - the first 911 with a hybrid drive! The facelift of the German sports car icon also sees the launch of a hybrid 911 for the first time. Hybrid in a 911?! But if you're thinking of plug-in, charging times and E-license plates, you're completely wrong: the new Porsche 911 GTS is only available as a hybrid - and this is primarily intended to benefit performance. On paper, that doesn't sound bad: the new GTS has 541 hp, it can reach 100 km/h in 3 seconds if the Sport Chrono package is on board, and it only stops at a whopping 312 km/h. Power and acceleration in particular are therefore intended to benefit from the new concept, which is why purely electric driving is not possible either; the electric motor is discreetly "hidden" in the transmission. This means that the new GTS weighs just 50 kilograms more than its predecessor. In Málaga, Niki checks out what hybrid means in the 911.
