Intention of production In 2020, the Nihon Shoki reached the milestone of 1,300 years since its compilation. Synopsis Kunimoto Kayo, a first-year student in the Shinto Department of the Faculty of Letters at Kogakuin University, will produce a special program commemorating the 1,300th anniversary of the compilation of the Nihon Shoki. What kind of people have studied the Nihon Shoki over the course of 1,300 years? And what thoughts do people engaged in the study of the Nihon Shoki have when they look at it today? To find the answer, we spoke to professors who continue their research at Kogakkan University. Kunimoto will also continue to visit places still remaining in Mie Prefecture that are connected to the Nihon Shoki, hoping to get as close as possible to the truth of the history and traditions.
