There are about seventy verses in the Holy Quran about the wisdom of patience. Allah Almighty says in verse 153 of Surah Al-Baqarah: يَآأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ امَنُواْ ٱسْتَعِينُواْ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَٱلصَّلٰوةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلصَبِرِينَ “O you who believe, seek help through patience and prayer. "Undoubtedly, Allah is with those who are patient," he ordered. The Prophet ﷺ says about this in a hadith-shareef: ما مِن مُصِيبَةٍ تُصِيبُ الْمُسْلِمَ إلَّا كَفَّرَ اللَّهُ بِها عَنْهُ , حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةِ يُشاكُها "If you can show so much patience for the sake of Allah, you will be rewarded." (Collection of Bukhari Hadiths) That is, if a person is able to show maximum seriousness for the sake of God, at the moment when his soul is under stress, there is no more spiritually rich person than him. This is because the success or failure of all matters is within the authority of the Great Creator.
