The Jaecoo J8 crossover surprised with a torque distribution system that was previously found only in sports cars. How does smart Torque Vectoring work? Technically, it is implemented like this. There is no differential in the rear gearbox - the torque is distributed to the left and right by a conventional angular gearbox. And behind them are multi-plate clutches with electronic-mechanical control - left and right. When the clutches are open, almost no torque is transmitted to the rear wheels. But when the clutch is completely closed, the entire torque is transmitted to the corresponding wheel. Possible options: if traction is transmitted only to the right wheel, the car tends to actively go into a left turn, if to the left - then into a right turn.
