This is the all-new Hyundai Santa Fe! Hyundai has taken the Santa Fe by storm, updating the looks of a fairly ordinary SUV into one of the most impressive 7-seaters on the road today! So, is it more style than substance, or should you consider the Santa Fe over rivals like the Skoda Kodiaq or Nissan X-Trail? Well, let’s take a closer look. So, of course, we need to start with the design, and it’s fair to say that on the outside we see a bit of classic Land Rover design language… But that’s not a bad thing! The boxy shape really helps the Santa Fe stand out on the road, as do the clever and unique H-shaped daytime running lights. The front end is minimalist and striking, while the rear is clean but really highlights the boxy design. Step inside and the Santa Fe is a really nice place to be. There’s a large curved screen that integrates both the digital dials and the infotainment screen, and thankfully there are separate dials for the climate control. The seats are extremely comfortable, and much of the interior is trimmed in soft-touch materials. There are tons of cupholders, so practicality is not an issue, and even adults can fit in the third row if needed! As for performance, there’s only one engine available, a 1.6-liter four-cylinder. It’s available as either a 215-horsepower self-charging hybrid or a 253-horsepower plug-in hybrid. The new Santa Fe lineup starts at around £46,000 and climbs to around £50,000 once you add a few options. But should you really choose it over some of its class-leading rivals? You’ll have to stay with Matt to find out.
