As we say: "The neighbor's cow died - a trifle, but nice." The comedy takes place in an elite village located twenty kilometers from the city of Chugunsk. According to the plan of the construction company, the village was to become a local "Rublyovka." But the crisis hit, and the company went bankrupt, having managed to build only two cottages. Our heroes were “lucky” enough to acquire these two cottages in the wilderness: the Russian Polevy family and the American Shankly family. This is how the funny and difficult relationship between two different families and different mentalities begins. For the Polevys, the Shanklys are stupid, fat “Americans”. For the Shanklys, the Polevys, like all Russians, are wild, drunken communists. Everyday disputes are like a cold war. The necessary household communications act as “weapons of deterrence”: on the Polevys’ property there is a valve for the common water supply, and on the Shanklys’ property there is a common electrical switch. Every time during an aggravation of neighborly relations, the family is threatened to use their “weapon”, but common sense wins every time… Because if for many years your neighbors are one and only family, then you simply cannot find better neighbors!
