Spoiler from the next episodes of Mega's series, The Olive Land. Andreas Varotsos, a man with an imposing presence and full of mystery, makes his entry into the life of the Brettakas noticeable. Hailing from Kalamata and with a troubled past, the dynamic businessman seems to have more in common with the family than they realize. Although he has already revealed that in his youth he had visited Mani and met Hippocrates, he has so far kept his deepest secrets hidden. "At some point I have to tell them the truth" he thinks, trying to find the courage to reveal everything that connects him to him. In the next episodes of Mega's series, The Land of Olives, he decides that the time has come to open his cards. He calls Manos, Athena and Iulia to a meeting. "I want to talk seriously. There are things you need to know," he tells them over the phone, in a tone that leaves no room for questions. They accept and their minds run through various scenarios, but none come close to reality. But at the last minute, Andreas cancels the meeting, leaving them with even more questions. A few days later, Andreas finally decides to hold this meeting. In a quiet space, away from prying eyes, he reveals to them a truth that takes their breath away. "Hippocrates...your first husband, Athena...was the reason I lost everything" she says with obvious emotion. The silence that follows is deafening. "What do you mean?" Iulia asks him, while Athena remains silent, as if she knows what she's about to hear. Andreas explains to them that 30 years ago, Hippocrates had set a treacherous trap for him. With the acquaintances and power he had, he managed to dissolve his business in Mani, leaving him bankrupt and forcing him to leave for Athens. "He was ruthless," continues Andreas. "He would stop at nothing to get what he wanted." “It broke me up professionally and forced me to start over. For years I couldn't even talk about it." Athena, visibly shocked, admits with a heavy heart that Hippocrates was hiding an extremely dark character. "I knew he was cruel, but I never imagined he'd do something like this," he says, avoiding eye contact with Andreas. Manos and Iulia silently agree, but cannot hide the embarrassment and shame they feel. Leaving the meeting, the Brettas are lost in thought. "How can he be helping us after all this?" Manos wonders. On the other hand, Iulia tries to understand if Andreas' intentions are really pure. Athena seems to be living the old nightmare again. "Hippocrates did not stop doing evil even after death" he tells Manos later, implying that the shadow of this man continues to weigh on their lives. Despite the revelations, the biggest question remains: What is Andreas Varotsos really after? Is he here to help or is he hiding some other purpose?
