Near-death experience, investigation into an enigma Part 1 Part 2 here: • Near-death experience (NDE): j... At Temps Présent, as you know, we have our feet firmly on the ground, we feel comfortable in the confrontation with facts and reality, so it was not easy to grasp the report that we offer you here. It is a question of life and death, of consciousness and unconsciousness. The stories that you are going to hear will disturb you, as they have disturbed us. These stories were experienced by those who are now called "experiencers". There are hundreds of thousands of them throughout the world, it is even very likely that some are part of your entourage. Their experience is that of imminent death. Victims of cardiac arrest, or of cerebral functions, sometimes after a long coma, they are survivors, some even say resuscitated. Sometimes declared clinically dead, like Patricia that you will hear in this report, they have come back to life and they tell their stories. They all talk about out-of-body experiences, warmth, love and light, encounters with the deceased and many other things. These extraordinary stories are as old as humanity. But if Myriam Gazut and Olga Baillif chose to film this report, it is because scientists now take near-death experiences very seriously. The hypotheses that could explain them have not produced any conclusive results. The mystery remains. As you have heard, people who have had these near-death experiences most often come back profoundly transformed. Some claim to have developed qualities that could be described as paranormal: the ability to heal others, to communicate with the deceased or even overdeveloped intuition. If this episode interested you, know that we offer you a second, shorter one, on the astonishing abilities of these experiencers.
