Vladimirovo is a village in Northeastern Bulgaria. It is located in the municipality of Dobrichka, Dobrich region. The village was founded by refugees from the village of Glavan, Stara Zagora region. During the Crimean War, entire clans fled to Bessarabia following the retreating Russian troops. A few years after they settled in Bessarabia, the Crimean War ended and the local authorities confiscated their lands. These families are on their way back as winter finds them in Dobrudja. Many of them founded or settled in the villages of Vladimirovo, Voinikovo, Glavan, Kolartsi, Kamentsi, Bdintsi, Krasen Dol, Pet Mogili, Vratarite, Nikola Kozlevo, Poprusanovo, Poruchik Geshanovo, Sarnets, Tervel, Angelarii, Vulnari, Podslon, Kaolinovo, Alfatar . One of the first settlers in the village of Vladimirovo from those refugees who returned from Bessarabia were the Prodanovtsi, Zhelyazkovi, Vlaykovi, Keranovi, Zaimovi families, which were formed later. Another part continued their journey and managed to return back to the village of Glavan (Stara Zagora region). Cultural and natural attractions edit Church "St. Archangel Michael" - In 1939, after a strong earthquake, the old church of St. Archangel Michael was partially damaged. In the following years of changes and abandonment of Christian values, the church was left at the mercy of the natural elements by the then new communist government and at the end of the 1950s it was finally destroyed. Cell school - built in 1871. After the destruction of the temple, it was used as a church, despite the prohibitions of the communists ruling the village. In 2005, the building was strengthened by the church board. The cell school was built thanks to the initiative and help of the mayor at the time - Mr. Georgiev nicknamed Jartata. His grandfather Prodan is one of the Bulgarians who returned from Bessarabia, who are descendants of the Bulgarian refugees from the village of Glavan - Stara Zagora.
