Find out everything you need to know about MRI with contrast. At Medical Professionals, we understand that undergoing an MRI with contrast can sometimes be a source of anxiety. An MRI is a crucial step for many medical diagnoses. That is why, in collaboration with the Bergonié Institute in Bordeaux, we have created this video to support you and reassure you throughout the process. The video shows you the progress of the examination from the reception in the imaging department to the taking of the images. The patient fills out an information and consent form in the waiting room (example of the questionnaire in the video). Afterwards, she waits for the technician who will come and get her, providing detailed instructions and information. The technician positions the patient, injects the contrast agent and begins the examination. The agent may cause a feeling of heat, a metallic taste in the mouth and an urge to urinate - these effects are normal and short-lived. The injection improves the quality of the images and highlights certain anatomical structures. At the end of the examination, the radiologist examines the images and gives them to you or your doctor.
